TGS Members Only: When our beloved pets cross the rainbow bridge, it is sometimes helpful in dealing with the grief if we can tell others what a greyt friend and companion we have lost. This page is provided so you can share your memories of the bygone buddies with others. They will live on in our shared memories.
In the space below, let us know who you are, and type your story into the box provided. (You can copy-and-paste from another application if that's easier.) If you wish, you can send a photo (see specifications below), a caption for the photo. We'll get your submission on the site as quickly as possible, after verifying your member status.
We especially value stories showing how living with greyhounds enriches our lives. We hope your stories will inspire visitors to the site to look further at greyhound adoption. That's what TGS is about, after all. Use this page to share your grief with others. Help us to share your loss.
Picture Specifications
Your scanner or digital camera software can make your pictures fit these specs:
- Format: JPG or GIF strongly preferred. PNG and TIFF OK. BMP and WMF not usable.
- Small is best. A wallet-size image (2 1/2" x 3" or so) is preferred.
- Dots per inch: 92 is recommended.
- The subject(s) should fill at least 2/3 of the visible area, and should stand out (contrast in color) from the background.
- We limit the size of photo files to 100,000 bytes. JPG pictures conforming to these guidelines will run under 20,000 bytes, so there's plenty of leeway.
- We may edit your caption for grammar, spelling, and/or syntax.
Please note: Our experience in testing this page indicates that the email containing your photo generally takes up to a half day to be delivered. We will do our best to get it on the web site as soon as possible, but please don't expect instant gratification. We'll try to let you know when to peek.
